1. Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Nova Passwords application and related services (the "Service"). By downloading, accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms.
If you do not agree with any part, do not use the Service.
2. Description of the service
Nova Passwords is a password manager with end-to-end encryption and a zero-knowledge architecture: your data is encrypted and decrypted on your device, and the server only stores encrypted information we cannot read.
The Service lets you store and sync passwords, API keys, tokens, cards, notes and other secrets across your devices.
3. Your account and master key
Your master key is the only key that decrypts your vault. By zero-knowledge design, we do not know it and cannot recover it. If you lose it and did not keep your Emergency Kit, you will permanently lose access to your data.
You are responsible for keeping your master key and Emergency Kit confidential, and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must be of the legal age required in your jurisdiction to enter into a binding agreement.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service for unlawful purposes, nor to attempt to breach, perform unauthorized decompilation of, or interfere with the security or infrastructure of the Service.
You must not store content that infringes third-party rights, nor use the Service to distribute malware or gain unauthorized access to systems you do not own.
5. Intellectual property
The Service, its brand, logos and software are owned by Nova Passwords or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. These Terms do not transfer any ownership of the Service to you — only a limited, personal, revocable license to use it in accordance with these Terms.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or completely secure against every threat.
You are responsible for keeping copies of your Emergency Kit and critical credentials outside the app.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nova Passwords shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, nor for data loss resulting from the loss of your master key, since by design we cannot access or restore it.
8. Changes to the terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you by reasonable means. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. When you delete your account, the associated encrypted data is removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
